Beers and Badges #4

The 4th event in our Beers and Badges series saw a shake-up in our usual standings as a Psychic deck failed to make the top cut for the first time in Columbia GLC history. With only one event left on the Season 1 schedule, badges are on the line as there are tight races in the Metal and Psychic types. Here are the top performing decks of Beer and Badges #4:

1st place: Fire Skeledirge

Record: 3-0

Trainer: Bryan Biscoll

Bryan took first place on the night defeating GLC Boogeyman Colorless Archeops in the battle of the undefeateds to claim first prize. Even though Bryan faced two types with weakness to fire, he dominated the night with tight play capitalizing on the opportunities to prove that Fire is a type to be reckoned with.

2nd Place: Colorless Archeops

Record: 2-1

Trainer: Lucas Snyder

In only his second ever event and only having piloted the deck three times, Snyder capped a top performance with a second place finish. Snyder used Snorlax to perfection to thwart one of the series' more dominant decks, Psychic Lost Zone. After his 2-1 feat, Snyder took sole position of the role of Colorless Gym Leader heading into the final event.

3rd Place: Metalzone

Record: 2-1

Trainer: Sydney

On his B&B debut, Sydney came out swinging with their spicy take on Metalzone. Taking down Metal and Psychic, Sydney’s only loss was to fire, an almost unwinnable matchup due to type disadvantage. With their 2-1 record in this event, Sydney has tied for the Metal Gym Badge lead setting up an exciting end to our first season of Beers Badges.

The next Beers and Badges event will take place on Thursday, August 24 at 7:00pm at the Hunter-Gatherer Brewery.
